MOBILE, Ala. (January 26, 2010) - Worship leader Vicky Beeching will offer a sneak peak at her first album for Integrity Music when she releases a three-song digital EP on Feb. 9. The full-length CD, Eternity Invades, will be released on April 6.
The EP includes new songs “Salvation Day,” which is also her first radio single, “Blessing and Honor” and “Deliverer.” Chord charts for all three songs are part of the EP package. Beeching’s EP will be available at major DSPs including iTunes, Amazon.com, Napster and Rhapsody as well as at IntegrityMusic.com.
Beeching says her new album will be a “mix of energetic band songs, beautiful strings, and intimate piano moments. My goal for the album is that people will be stirred to worship as they listen and that the songs will be a resource for churches to use corporately.”
The British-born and Oxford-educated Beeching recorded the album in her U.S. hometown of San Diego, working with upcoming producer Jonathan MacIntosh (a former guitarist for Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, Kevin Max and more). Beeching was very involved in the creative process, from laying the scratch tracks on “studio day 1,” to the final mixing and mastering tweaks. She has brought the arrangement and instrumentation skills she is known for in her live context to the studio, showing her potential production credentials for the future.
Eternity Invades will include 12 new songs all written by Beeching, including “Glory to God Forever,” which she co-wrote with Steve Fee and was a radio hit from Fee’s INO Records album Hope Rising. Beeching’s deep involvement in social justice is reflected in her new song “Break Our Hearts” – a prayer that God would impart to us His heart for those in need.
Also expect appearances on the record from Stu G (from delirious), Leeland, Phil Wickham, Drew Shirley (Switchfoot) and others. Beeching “Tweeted” recently describing the upcoming CD, “I've never made an album I've loved this much.”
Prior to being signed by Integrity Music, 30-year-old Beeching had already built up serious worship and recording credentials. In the UK, Beeching partnered with Vineyard Music (where she worked with Integrity labelmate Brian Doerksen), writing songs on the Hungry, Holy, Surrender and Best of Vineyard projects. She was also part of Soul Survivor in London, contributing to their People’s Album and Live Worship 2005. During these years she led worship alongside Matt Redman, Tim Hughes and Brenton Brown.
Beeching moved to the U.S. in 2004. Two critically acclaimed CDs later (2005’s Yesterday Today and Forever and 2007’s Painting The Invisible), she has led worship in almost all 50 States, as well as coast to coast across Canada and throughout Europe.
Look for Beeching in the March issue of Worship Leader in which she has penned a column about theology in songwriting. She also has an active blog on her website www.vickybeeching.com with photos and behind-the-scenes posts from the recording studio and on the road. Beeching’s Twitter address is www.twitter.com/vickybeeching.
